Starting with a chapter on equine anatomy and physiology, it moves on to comprehensive chapters on various aspects of massage with well illustrated, step-by-step routines. Chapters on conformation and movement, body parts and there stress points. There's a particularly useful section on "trouble spot" routines to detect and deal with commonly occurring problems before stress points develop. Even if you don't want to do massage yourself, this book provides useful and interesting background information on the equine body and how it reacts to the demands we place on it. |
