Acreage Equines rating

This is well written book on horse care taking the approach that you should prevent problems before they start.

It starts by looking at the horse's infrastructure (bone and muscle) and systems (respiratory, digestive, circulatory, nervous, skin) then moves on to basic care, feeding, conditioning and coping with stress. Lots of good information presented in a clear writing style make this a useful addition to an equestrian library. Unfortunately, it is out of print. You could try looking for it at Alibris.
